More about me.

I am an experienced Science teacher and tutor and have worked in education for the last 14 years. I started my career teaching Secondary Science in an all-boys grammar school before working in a number of comprehensive co-educational Secondary schools in both inner and outer London. Before joining Prince’s Gardens Preparatory School (PGP), where I currently teach, I was Head of Science in a large co-educational comprehensive Secondary school. I joined PGP as Head of Science and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) Coordinator and since then I have written the Science curriculum for the school as well as developed the cross-curricular use of the Makerspace, an area that provides for learning beyond the confines of classroom walls.

I use technology to enhance my teaching and am always seeking new ways to enhance the learning of my pupils. Throughout my career, I have spoken at conferences both in the UK and abroad and I am an active member of professional associations including the Association of Science Education (ASE) and the Chartered College of Teachers. I have also regularly led professional development for teachers across all phases. I have been an examiner for a number of examination boards at GCSE and A-Level.
